CAF & Non Asbestos ga skets are Die cut, Circle cut and cut as per drawings and samples from gasket jointing sheets.

Gasket Jointing sheets are manufactured from carefully selected chrysolite fibre & properly blended with suitable heat resisting binders & fillers and vulcanized into sheets of homogeneous composition and uniform thickness.

The seal is affected by the yielding or the flow of the gasketing material into the imperfection of the matting surfaces leaving no pathways exist for escape of the confined media.

Parameter for selecting gasketing material with its grade depends on
1 Type of confined media and its purity
2 Working conditions with continuous temperature and pressure.
3 Gasketing area and its design
4 Gaskets and bolt configuration with torque applied
5 Flange surface furnished etc

Operating conditions and grade of gasketing materials
Selection of gasketing material with its grade and style for perfect seal depends on variations in temperature & pressure along with working conditions. As per IS 2712, - 1998 following grades are specified for different working applications
